Austin Business Journal— AMLI Residential will build a 315-unit apartment building at East Avenue - the urban community going up at the former Concordia University campus. The 64-foot high apartment building will rise near the northwest corner of the 23-acre, mixed-use development. The apartment units will top 45,000 square feet of ground floor retail.

Austin American-Statesman— The developer of a $750 million project planned for the former Concordia University campus in Austin has tapped AMLI Residential to build a 315-unit apartment complex on the site, which is destined to be one of the city’s tallest, densest developments outside of downtown.

Austin American-Statesman—The transformation of the Concordia University campus into a $750 million major mixed-use development will include a high-end, 17-story hotel and condominium project featuring a new upscale concept from Global Hyatt Corp. Global Hyatt and developer East Avenue Investment Group LP, which is leading the team behind the 2.75 million-square-foot redevelopment, will announce today a 210-room luxury Andaz hotel. The concept for Andaz hotels was unveiled this year, with the first one opening in London next month and two more in Manhattan in 2009.

Commercial Property News—Global Hyatt Corp.’s new boutique-style hotel brand, Andaz, will make its debut in Austin–and the Southern United States–at the nearly 3 million-square-foot East Avenue mixed-use project being developed by the East Avenue Investment Group L.P. The 210-room luxury hotel will be the only lodging property at the $750 million development.
